The latest issue of Latvijas Architektūra magazine includes an interview with architect Vents Grietēns. We want to share this news because right from the outset Vents has been involved in the processes of creating and improving the homes for Daugava Business Centre. Vents Grietēns has designed both the Daugava Business Center offices and the repair centre and is currently hard at work on the new project.
Right now we are in the initial phase of expanding the DBC Vehicle Service Center – project sketches are being drawn up and discussed. Over the years, a close collaboration and mutual trust has evolved between us. We know what to expect from one other. As the architect himself says in the interview,
“An architect is here to make the world a better place, not to transform it driven by personal ambition. I believe that in fulfilling a client’s dream, an architect should also be a smart teacher, enhancing the client’s idea with his professional added value, educating him and demonstrating that things can be viewed through “different glasses” and those glasses differ from person to person; clients do not reside in this world for their sake alone.”
