Valērijs Siņegubs Celebrates 10 Years at DBC!

According to our vehicle locksmith, Valērijs Siņegubs, “I am the Daugava Business Centre’s talisman!” Valērijs does not distinguish between the group’s companies Kurbads and DBC, he’s happy to work at both, even doing shift work. However, it’s as a member of the DBC team that this year Valērijs is celebrating his 10^th work anniversary.

“In the early 90s I was out of work. I noticed that an HGV repair shop was looking for a welder and decided to apply. I called the Service Centre’s Head at that time Ivars Čiblis and we arranged an interview for 24 February. Because 23 February was a public holiday – Soviet Army Day,” says Valērijs recalling the very beginning.

“On 24 February I arrived for the interview and there was nobody here. The repair shop was empty. I started looking. I found Ivars and Andris having lunch at the local Ķegums diner. We had a chat and I started work soon after. At first there was so much work that we actually lived at the repair shop for two weeks. We slept a little and went back to work. And we only went home at weekends.”
